It has been over six months since we had our last long European road trip. This time we're heading to the alps and Italian lakes for a relaxing seventeen day adventure.
We're revisiting some of our favourite places in Europe, including Lake Constance in Germany, Zermatt in Switzerland and both Lake Maggiore and Lake Garda in Italy.
We'll visit six countries along the way β all with interesting roads worth driving.

Fuel Log
Fuel log will be updated here as the trip progresses.
With the Iran War impacting oil prices, this is likely to be the most expensive road trip we've taken in terms of energy costs.

Tyres
Our car is equipped with Pirelli PZero PZ4 NA2 tyres, an ideal choice for this trip. They handle exceptionally well at the high speeds of the German autobahn and provide excellent grip on the sharp corners of the Alps.

These tyres have nearly 10,000 kilometres on them so while not new they still have plenty of tread remaining.
With two adults in the car and luggage for nearly three weeks, we're running them close to the "full load" pressures that Porsche recommend. We've gone with 2.5 bar on the front axle and 3.0 bar on the rears.

Apple Music
If you are an Apple Music subscriber you can listen along to some of the music that's accompanying us on our trip via our BOSE audio system and the car's in-built Apple Music player, streamed over the roaming data connection provided by Porsche.
